Volleyball Recap: Madison Plains Beats Shawnee for Their Sixth Straight Win

Madison Plains waltzed into their game on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Shawnee Braves as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Golden Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Braves, too.

Madison Plains never let Shawnee on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-23, 25-17.

Claire Mason paced Madison Plains' offense, picking up seven kills. Mason got some help from Ariel Stout and her 12 assists. Audrey Perigo controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Madison Plains' win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Shawnee, they suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison Plains will take on Catholic Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Eagles are facing the Irish at the right time seeing as the Irish are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Shawnee, they will head out on the road to take on London at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
