Basketball Game Preview: Jordan-Matthews Jets vs. Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers

The Jordan-Matthews Jets are taking a road trip to take on the Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Jordan-Matthews and four for Bartlett Yancey.

Jordan-Matthews saw some tournament action last Friday. They fell 60-52 to Ashe County.

Meanwhile, Bartlett Yancey lost 69-48 to Southeast Alamance on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 401st, while the Stallions are ranked 79th).

Jordan-Matthews' loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Bartlett Yancey, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Jordan-Matthews beat Bartlett Yancey 52-44 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jordan-Matthews since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
