Those victories were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.5 points per game. As for Veterans, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-7.

Southwest DeKalb wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 18-0 loss against South Effingham on the 5th. Veterans does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
