Deep Creek and Green Run squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Deep Creek had to settle for second. They came up short against the Stallions, falling 36-14. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the Stallions are ranked 26th).

Deep Creek dropped their record down to 4-7 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Green Run, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Deep Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Green Run, they will challenge Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Sundevils' defense has only allowed 13.3 points per game this season, so the Stallions' offense will have their work cut out for them.
