Softball Recap: Stuart W. Cramer Comes Up Short

Stuart W. Cramer extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-8. They came up short against the Burns Bulldogs, falling 11-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Storm couldn't push the score so high this time.

Stuart W. Cramer saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brinley Womack, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

As for Burns, they now have a winning record of 5-4. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by ten runs or more this season.

On Burns' side, Emma Walker made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Walker was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

In other batting news, Burns got a massive performance out of Alivia Smith, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those doubles were Smith's first of the season. Laney Williams was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Coming up, Burns will challenge East Gaston at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Stuart W. Cramer will be paying especially close attention to the Bulldogs' game: after the Bulldogs face off against the Warriors, they'll take on Stuart W. Cramer again at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
