Volleyball Recap: Marlington's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Marlington had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the Minerva Lions 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Dukes, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-17, 25-12.

Giana Bogunovich paced Marlington's offense, picking up 17 kills. Bogunovich got some help from Cali Young and her 28 assists. Danica Sarchione controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Marlington's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Minerva, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Marlington is set to square off against their familiar foe Salem at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Minerva will take on rival Alliance at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
