It was a good run, but Mt. Spokane unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They received a blow as they fell 61-43 to the Gonzaga Prep Bullpups. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-40 back in December of 2024.

Mt. Spokane's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 10-6. As for Gonzaga Prep, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.

Mt. Spokane and Gonzaga Prep should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. Mt. Spokane will face off against Shadle Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 248 places (30 vs. 278). Similarly, Gonzaga Prep (ranked eighth) will meet Central Valley (ranked 87th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
