Softball Recap: Christopher Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Christopher faced off against Prospect on Monday. Christopher came up short against Prospect, falling 12-6. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Audrina Cabanlit was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one run. Another player making a difference was Chevelle Quistian, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Christopher's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Prospect, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Coming up, Christopher is taking a road trip to face off against Silver Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Christopher is facing Silver Creek at the right time seeing as Silver Creek is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Prospect, they will host Del Mar at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Del Mar has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.71 runs per game on average), something Prospect will no doubt try to take advantage of.
