Preview: Walton Warriors vs. Delaware Academy Bulldogs

Walton can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past Oxford Academy 54-22 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Walton has posted yet this season.
Grace Walley continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Walton's points. Kennedy Williams was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Delaware Academy came tearing into Thursday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-49 victory over Sidney. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Delaware Academy has posted yet this season.
Walton's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Delaware Academy, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2.
Walton came up short against Delaware Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 43-34. Can Walton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
