By Staff Report Apr 29, 2013, 12:00am

Record-breaking story from venerable track and field competition in Philadelphia as told in pictures.

Weston (Conn.) senior and University of Oklahoma recruit Emily Savage didn't just set a new CIAC girls pole vault record last week at 13 feet, 1 1/2 inches. She did it at hallowed Franklin Field in Philadelphia. She did it in winning the high school segment of the Penn Relays, the nation's oldest and largest outdoor track and field competition.

MaxPreps photographer Ken Inness was there to capture the record-setting event in pictures.
