Basketball Recap: Nehemiah Murvin-Rawls' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Winter Haven Christian over Families Instructing Students Homeschool

Winter Haven Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 57-50 to the Families Instructing Students HomeSchool Hawks. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-35 back in December of 2024.

Winter Haven Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Nehemiah Murvin-Rawls, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 19 rebounds. Mason Toole was another key player, going 6 for 12 on his way to 14 points and four steals.

Winter Haven Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Families Instructing Students HomeSchool, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winter Haven Christian will square off against Real Life Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Families Instructing Students HomeSchool, they will take on Candlelight Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
