Basketball Recap: Hereford Takes a Loss

Hereford lost against West Plains back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hereford Whitefaces received a blow as they fell 60-44 to the West Plains Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Whitefaces can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 656th, while the Wolves are ranked 279th).

Hereford has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-14 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for West Plains, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-10.

Hereford will be playing at home against Pampa at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Plains, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Dumas at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st.
