Softball Game Preview: Seneca Red Hawks vs. Valley Vikings

The Seneca Red Hawks will face off against the Valley Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Seneca has given up an average of 13.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Seneca lost 17-2 to Fairdale on Friday. The Red Hawks haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valley). Everything went their way against Southern on Monday as they made off with a 27-7 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Natalie Saint Louis was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with eight stolen bases and four runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadelynn Dixon, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs.

Valley's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Seneca, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Seneca beat Valley 16-13 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Do the Red Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
