Leesville Road came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Broughton Capitals by a score of 6-2. This was payback for the Pride, who suffered a 4-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Alex Higdon looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Leesville Road saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Fields, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Fields also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Leesville Road's record is now 6-2. As for Broughton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.
