Softball Recap: Brookwood Takes a Loss

Brookwood blew New Lisbon out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday New Lisbon got their revenge. The Falcons fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 10-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Falcons have suffered since April 25, 2024.

Brookwood got a big performance out of Spohie Hyatt, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Emily Cunitz, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Brookwood's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for New Lisbon, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Brookwood will square off against Ithaca at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. New Lisbon has already played their next matchup (against La Farge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
