Soccer Recap: Riverdale Comes Up Short

Riverdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ida Baker Bulldogs. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Riverdale's goal came courtesy of Brooklynn Alvarez, who's now up to seven this season.

Riverdale's loss dropped their record down to 5-7-2. As for Ida Baker, their win bumped their record up to 5-9-1.

When Riverdale and Ida Baker next hit the pitch, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Riverdale will try to stop North Fort Myers' nine-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverdale is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.2 goals per game this season. Similarly, Ida Baker will challenge Charlotte and their three-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
