Soccer Game Preview: Pendleton vs. Southside Christian

The Pendleton Bulldogs will take on the Southside Christian Sabres on Thursday. Pendleton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.

Pendleton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They never let Union County get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Pendleton's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 76th, while Union County are ranked 206th).

Pendleton's offense was hitting Union County from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Miguel Garutti De Oliveira led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Southside Christian narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Chapman 1-0.

Pendleton is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those four matchups. As for Southside Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.
