Softball Game Preview: Elk Lake Warriors vs. Forest City Foresters

Elk Lake has gone a perfect 7-0 against Forest City recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Foresters at 4:30 p.m. Elk Lake knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Forest City likes a good challenge.

On Thursday, Elk Lake got the win against Montrose by a conclusive 17-4. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Meteors recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Forest City couldn't beat Riverside on Thursday even though they stacked six runs on them in the second inning. The Foresters came up short against the Vikings, falling 18-6. The loss continues a trend for the Foresters in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost three in a row.

Forest City now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Elk Lake, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Elk Lake took their victory against Forest City in their previous matchup back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 17-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
