Basketball Recap: Fairfax's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak at Home

Fairfax entered their game against Robinson on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Fairfax Lions came up short against the Robinson Rams, falling 51-28. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Fairfax lost, don't look at Cam Yingling. Despite the final result, he posted eight points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Aidan Mullen, who put up four points.

Fairfax's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-4. As for Robinson, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-3.

Fairfax will venture away from home to challenge West Potomac at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. West Potomac knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Fairfax likes a good challenge. As for Robinson, they will welcome South County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. South County will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Robinson surely won't give up without a fight.
