Volleyball Recap: Southeast Whitfield County Takes a Loss

Southeast Whitfield County lost against Northwest Whitfield back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Raiders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bruins.

While Southeast Whitfield County ultimately came up short, they really made Northwest Whitfield work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 28-26.

Emily Vargas paced Southeast Whitfield County's offense, picking up 11 kills. Vargas got some help from Briana Fraire Hernandez and her 11 assists. Dareen Mughrabi controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Southeast Whitfield County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Northwest Whitfield, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Southeast Whitfield County has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Chattooga on the 14th. As for Northwest Whitfield, they will square off against Christian Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
