G League Ignite product put together storied career for one of the top programs in the Lone Star State.

Prior to his one season with NBA G League Ignite, Ron Holland authored a dominant high school career that saw him lead Duncanville (Texas) to three consecutive top 10 finishes nationally with a pair of state titles in the Lone Star State's highest classification.

During his senior season, Holland earned first team MaxPreps All-America honors in 2022-23 after averaging 20.3 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.0 steals per contest to guide the Panthers to a 29-1 record and the No. 2 spot in the final MaxPreps Top 25.

In 2021-22, Holland earned MaxPreps National Junior of the Year honors after putting up 15.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.0 steals per outing to lead the Panthers to the MaxPreps National Championship.

The 6-foot-8 forward also was a key cog for Duncanville in 2020-21 when he earned second team MaxPreps Sophomore All-America honors after compiling 13.8 points  and 10.1 rebounds per game to help the Panthers finish the season ranked No. 6 in the final MaxPreps Top 25.

Over his four seasons with the program, he compiled over 1,500 points and 900 rebounds. Duncanville finished ranked nationally all four years and twice won a state title. The pandemic and a state tournament ban prevented potential third and fourth state championship runs for teams who were favored to win in both seasons.

Holland averaged 19.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.5 steals last year for G League Ignite. He is still regarded as a top 10 pick ahead of Wednesday's draft but his stock took a hit after struggling from the field with Ignite, shooting 45 percent from the field and 24 percent from 3-point range.

Coming out of high school, the versatile forward was regarded as the No. 1 overall prospect in the Class of 2024 according to 247Sports.
