Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jupiter Christian). They came out on top against the Berean Christian Bulldogs by a score of 71-58 on Monday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Jupiter Christian had a senior duo take command as Jordan Rivera dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten boards and Matthew Barrett dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which Barrett has scored at least a third of Jupiter Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Jake Becker, who posted nine points and six boards.

Jupiter Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matches.

Despite the loss, Berean Christian still got an impressive performance from Derek Vasquez, who went 8 of 19 on his way to 18 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Vasquez is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 18 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nico Vasquez, who had 11 points.

Jupiter Christian's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. As for Berean Christian, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Jupiter Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 93-88 defeat against Boca Raton Christian on the 20th. As for Berean Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-32 loss against Atlantic Christian on the 17th.
