South Pointe extended their postseason success on Saturday against South Florence. They put the hurt on the Bruins with a sharp 35-14 win. Considering the Stallions have won 12 games by more than 20 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

R.J. Brown had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 193 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. Those 193 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: South Pointe was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 351 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 178 rushing yards in 12 consecutive contests.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to South Pointe's defense and their six sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as six different players picked up one apiece. Daquan Evans was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 12 total tackles.

Although South Florence took the loss, they still got scores from Gabe McLaughlin and Messiah Jackson.

South Pointe pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.5 points on average this season. As for South Florence, with the defeat, they broke their 11-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-2.
