Baseball Recap: Patrick Henry Comes Up Short

If Patrick Henry was riding high fresh off their 17-9 takedown of James River last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots came up short against the Blacksburg Bruins on Tuesday, falling 7-1. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Bruins recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Patrick Henry's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Blacksburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Patrick Henry will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Fleming at 5:00 p.m. As for Blacksburg, they will head out on the road to square off against William Byrd at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
