Live Oak Classical came tearing into Friday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Faith Academy Flames 47-32. The Falcons pushed the score to 39-18 by the end of the third, a deficit the Flames cut but never quite recovered from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Live Oak Classical to victory, but perhaps none more so than Stella Sriram, who posted 17 points along with six steals and five boards. Sriram has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Smith, who put up eight points in addition to six steals and five rebounds.

Live Oak Classical smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in eight consecutive contests.

Several Flames players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hadley Shipley, who earned 11 points and seven boards. Natalie Weems was another key player, putting up seven points and 17 rebounds.

Live Oak Classical pushed their record up to 20-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points over those games. As for Faith Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-20.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Live Oak Classical will take on Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Live Oak Classical's defense has only allowed 29.9 points per game this season, so Lutheran's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Faith Academy, they will face off against Central Texas Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
