Basketball Game Preview: Switzerland County Pacers vs. East Central Trojans

The Switzerland County Pacers will head out on the road to square off against the East Central Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Central took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Switzerland County, who comes in off a win.

On Saturday, Switzerland County didn't have too much trouble with New Washington as they won 60-44.

Meanwhile, East Central took a blow against Greenfield-Central on Friday, falling 83-45. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Cougars are ranked seventh).

Switzerland County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points over those games. East Central has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Switzerland County barely slipped by East Central in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 47-46. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was East Central's Peyton Hofer, who went 5-for-9 on his way to 16 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds.
