Preview: Unity Christian Academy Phoenix vs. Providence Catholic Celtics
Unity Christian Academy has been on the road for three straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Providence Catholic Celtics at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Unity Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 506th, while Providence Catholic is ranked 218th).
Last Friday, Unity Christian Academy came up short against MCC and fell 66-53.
Unity Christian Academy might have lost, but man, Shamar Coleman was a machine: he almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Robinson, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Providence Catholic waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They snuck past Marmion with a 50-45 victory.
Unity Christian Academy's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-8. As for Providence Catholic, they pushed their record up to 12-12 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
