Basketball Game Preview: Kopperl Eagles vs. Milford Bulldogs

Kopperl is 0-5 against Milford since November of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Kopperl Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Milford Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Kopperl took a blow against Bynum, falling 47-15.

Meanwhile, Milford fought the good fight in their overtime game against Bynum on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to the Bulldogs. Milford's loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Kopperl will have to contain Jaycee Rigsby as she made an impact in Milford's last game. She went 16 of 31 en route to 38 points and five steals. With that strong performance, Rigsby is now averaging an impressive 15 points per game. Another player making a difference was Chloe Evans, who posted six points and seven rebounds.

Even though they lost, Milford smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive matches.

Milford's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 20-6. As for Kopperl, their loss dropped their record down to 6-19.
