It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Clayton Valley Charter can now relate to. They fell 64-55 to the Dougherty Valley Wildcats on Tuesday. The Ugly Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Clayton Valley Charter still got an impressive performance from Elijah Perryman, who went 9-for-22 on his way to 23 points along with five assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Vince Ellis, who went 5-for-9 en route to 13 points.

Clayton Valley Charter's loss dropped their record down to 20-12. As for Dougherty Valley, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-8.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Clayton Valley Charter will be playing in front of their home fans against Amador Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dougherty Valley, they will take on Redwood at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Redwood will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Dougherty Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
