Volleyball Recap: Morgan County Falls Despite Big Games from Riley Mitchell and Camryn Scherer

Morgan County lost against Gainesville back in August of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Red Elephants by a score of 2-1. The match marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Morgan County's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Camryn Scherer, who had 15 digs and three assists, and Riley Mitchell, who had four digs.

Having lost for the first time this season, Morgan County fell to 5-1. As for Gainesville, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Morgan County will challenge Lakeview Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gainesville, they will take on Banks County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
