Recap: Manual Arts Toilers vs. Jefferson Democrats
Make it 15 blowout wins for the Manual Arts Toilers this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Jefferson 107-27 on the road. Manual Arts' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Manual Arts was led to victory by RJ Dawson and Devin Moody. Dawson dropped a triple-double on 23 points, ten assists, and 12 steals, while Moody dropped a double-double on 36 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Moody has scored at least a third of Manual Arts' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Songhai Glover, who scored ten points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Manual Arts' win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-2. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 48.36 points. As for Jefferson, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manual Arts will take on West Adams at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. West Adams will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1122nd, while Manual Arts is ranked 301st). As for Jefferson, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Santee at 4:30 p.m. on January 26th.
