Baseball Recap: Mt. Hope Huskies vs. North Kingstown Skippers
Mt. Hope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 14-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Kingstown Skippers. The Huskies were not able to make up for their defeat to the Skippers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.
Colin Padovich made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those hits were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Dubois, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.
Mt. Hope's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for North Kingstown, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mt. Hope will challenge rival Portsmouth at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, North Kingstown is set to square off against their familiar foe Pilgrim at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
