Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Prep Takes a Loss

If Lincoln Prep was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Leading Edge Academy - GEC on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lightning lost 3-0 to the Rancho Solano Prep Mustangs on Monday. The Lightning were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-11, 25-10.

Bree Howard was the offensive standout of the game as she had six aces and four digs. Those six aces gave her a new career-high.

Lincoln Prep dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Rancho Solano Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Lincoln Prep has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against ALA - Ironwood on the 19th. As for Rancho Solano Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against North Valley Christian Academy on the 17th.
