Soccer Recap: Moline Takes a Loss

Moline came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Normal Community Ironmen, falling 6-0. Moline were not able to make up for their loss to Normal Community from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Moline's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Normal Community, their win bumped their record up to 8-5-1.

Looking ahead, Moline will be playing in front of their home fans against East Moline United at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Moline's defense better be ready for this one: East Moline United have averaged an impressive 3.7 goals per game this season. As for Normal Community, they are taking a road trip to challenge Peoria at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Normal Community will be up against Peoria's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.5 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
