Baseball Recap: Choctawhatchee Wins Going Away Against Rocky Bayou Christian

Choctawhatchee got themselves on the board against Rocky Bayou Christian on Monday, but Rocky Bayou Christian never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Rocky Bayou Christian Knights as they made off with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Indians have won three matchups by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Blake Peters looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Choctawhatchee got a massive performance out of Gant Folendore, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Choctawhatchee is 3-1 when Folendore posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Rowell, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Choctawhatchee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive contests.

The win got Choctawhatchee back to even at 4-4. As for Rocky Bayou Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-3.

Choctawhatchee didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-3 defeat against Niceville on the 4th. As for Rocky Bayou Christian, they have also already played their next match, a 4-3 victory against Altha on the 6th.
