Basketball Recap: Cheyenne Wells' Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against Springfield last Saturday, Cheyenne Wells came back down to earth. The Cheyenne Wells Tigers received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 53-34 to the Stratton Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Eagles are ranked 18th).

When it comes to explaining why Cheyenne Wells lost, don't look at Paige Ryser. Despite the final result, she went 5 for 11 on her way to 10 points and seven steals. Ryser is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Chamille Harrison, who posted two points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.

Cheyenne Wells' loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-4. As for Stratton, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
