Deer Valley is a perfect 7-0 against Antioch since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Wolverines will welcome the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Antioch took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Deer Valley, who comes in off a win.

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Deer Valley and Freedom, and Deer Valley kept the tradition alive. The Wolverines walked away with a 3-1 win over the Falcons last Tuesday. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 23-25, 25-15, 25-20.

Deer Valley's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Rylan Cristobal, who had four digs and three aces, and Cyril James Omne, who had 18 digs and two assists. Those two assists gave Omne a new career-high. Dominic Dolojan also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Meanwhile, Antioch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against Liberty, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-10, 25-16.

Antioch's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Deer Valley, their win bumped their record up to 19-7.

Everything went Deer Valley's way against Antioch when the teams last played back in March, as Deer Valley made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
