Willamette put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 56-20 win over the South Salem Saxons. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won six games by 20 points or more so far this season.

Willamette found their leader in sophomore Zeke Thomas, who threw for 262 yards and four touchdowns on perfect 10-for-10 passing, and also rushed for 56 yards and one TD. Thomas' superb passer rating of 177.1 also marked a new season-high. Hunter Vaughn was another key player, picking up 134 receiving yards and three scores.
