Volleyball Recap: Galt Comes Up Short

Galt lost against Tokay back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors came up short against the Tigers, falling 3-0. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Galt was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 25-19.

Zoey Sanchez paced Galt's offense, picking up five kills. Sanchez got some help from Maliah Phulmati and her six assists. Courtney Brouwer and Morgan Jones kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Galt's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Tokay, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-3.

Galt didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Cosumnes Oaks on the 2nd. As for Tokay, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Bear Creek on the 3rd.
