Baseball Recap: Windermere Find Success

Windermere proved they can win big last Friday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Harmony Longhorns 8-7. This was payback for the Wolverines, who suffered a 4-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Dublin Warren, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Diego Rodriguez was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Windermere's record is now 15-4. As for Harmony, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windermere will head out to face off against Mount Dora Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mount Dora Christian Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.94 runs per game on average), something Windermere will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Harmony, they will face off against Hagerty at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harmony will need to watch out since Hagerty has now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
