Basketball Recap: Hope Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Hope Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-57 heartbreaker at the hands of Open Bible Christian. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Open Bible Christian earlier this season, when they won 50-47.

Hope Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Open Bible Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hope Christian Academy and Keystone Heights will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Open Bible Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Gainesville Christian Community at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Open Bible Christian is facing Gainesville Christian Community at the right time seeing as Gainesville Christian Community is stuck on a 15-game losing streak.
