Baseball Game Preview: Sinton Pirates vs. Wimberley Texans

For the second straight game, Sinton will face off against Wimberley. The Pirates will challenge the Texans at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Sinton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Sinton heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Thursday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wimberley. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Pirates couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Wimberley's part, Jackson Parker looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Parker has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sage Hall and Wyatt Yeatter did most of the damage at the plate: Hall went 3-for-4 with two runs, while Yeatter went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits Hall has posted since back in March.

Wimberley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sinton only managed five hits.

Wimberley is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Sinton, their loss dropped their record down to 28-8-1.
