Brazos Christian put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 35-0 victory over the Riesel Indians. The 35-point effort marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Brazos Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hudson Jacobus, who threw for 265 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes. The Eagles' leading receiver Micah Saxe was Jacobus' top target yet again, picking up 141 receiving yards and three TDs.

Brazos Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Riesel, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Brazos Christian and Riesel will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Eagles see the field they'll take on Sacred Heart at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. As for Riesel, their break will end when they face Rosebud-Lott at 7:30 p.m. on October 10.
