Mia Kurtz and Reese Frauhiger did most of the damage at the plate: Kurtz went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI, while Frauhiger went 4-for-5 with four runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most runs Kurtz has posted over her last ten games. Abby Wagner was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Norwell was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .370 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger entered their tilt with Fort Wayne Bishop Luers on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Knights by a score of 5-1.
Izzy Tudor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger let Ava Schortgen and Brooklyn Baker run wild. Schortgen went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Baker went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Maeve Miltner, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Norwell's record now sits at 14-4. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger, their record is now 15-3.
