Basketball Game Preview: Morningside Academy Eagles vs. Lake Worth Trojans

Having just played yesterday, the Morningside Academy Eagles will get right back to it and host the Lake Worth Trojans at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Morningside Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Lake Worth will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Morningside Academy against Varsity Opponent as the team secured a 51-16 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Lake Worth lost 38-15 to Royal Palm Beach on Thursday. The matchup marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Lake Worth saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tyona Razz-Wilkins posted five points along with five boards and three steals. Milan Smith was another key player, putting up four points and five rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Lake Worth and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Morningside Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
