Recap: Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights vs. Silverado Skyhawks
The Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights pushed their score all the way to 62 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 68-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Silverado.
Mater Academy East Las Vegas' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tru Young, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 10 rebounds. Lonnie Bass Jr. was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Mater Academy East Las Vegas' defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Silverado, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mater Academy East Las Vegas will take on Basic at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Basic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Saturday. Silverado won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Doral Academy Red Rock at 6:30 p.m. on November 28th.
