Soccer Game Preview: Woodcreek vs. Christian Brothers

The Woodcreek Timberwolves will venture away from home to take on the Christian Brothers Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodcreek is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

Last Thursday, Woodcreek beat Rio Americano 3-1. Given the Timberwolves' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Raiders are ranked 317th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Christian Brothers has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 14. They lost 3-0 to Vista del Lago on Thursday.

Woodcreek's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four contests. As for Christian Brothers, they now have a losing record at 5-6-6.

Woodcreek beat Christian Brothers 3-1 in their previous matchup on Saturday. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodcreek since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
