Baseball Recap: Eads Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Eads couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stratton on Saturday. Eads was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Stratton earlier this season, when they won 12-0.

Adyn Hough put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Hough wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Johnathan Vasquez, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Eads has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-4 record this season. As for Stratton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7.

Eads does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stratton, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 18-10 defeat against McClave on the 2nd.
