Basketball Recap: Belleview Christian Takes a Loss

Belleview Christian played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 47-17 loss at the hands of the Flatirons Academy Bison. The Bruins haven't had much luck with the Bison recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Several Bruins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tara Polson, who posted eight points and eight rebounds. That's the most points Polson has posted since back in January of 2024. Wisper Nedelea was another key player, putting up three points and nine rebounds.

Belleview Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Flatirons Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Belleview Christian will venture away from home to challenge Clear Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Belleview Christian is facing Clear Creek at the right time seeing as Clear Creek is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Flatirons Academy, they will face off against Union Colony Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Union Colony Prep will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Flatirons Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
