Shawnee had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Lexington Minutemen by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

While Shawnee might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Lexington scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 19-25, 27-25, 25-22.

Karleigh Hutchins paced Shawnee's offense, picking up 24 kills. Hutchins got some help from Chelsea Burkholder and her 49 assists. Hutchins also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Player #27, each putting up two.

Shawnee's win bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Lexington, they moved to 20-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Coming up, Shawnee will challenge Bloom-Carroll at 6:00 p.m. on the 30th. Lexington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
